NANA is a musical romance story very similar to BECK in some ways, but it’s told from the viewpoint of two separate women who are both named Nana. They meet by coincidence and end up sharing experiences in life together. So far it’s been great because the producers have made it funny, yet serious and dramatic without boring me. The music (of the bands in the anime) is an integral part of the experience, and if you’re into j-pop/j-rock you’ll definately enjoy NANA even if its just for the music.
