My impressions and review:

Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na -Crescent Love- is an average school romance story wrapped around some political issues with the Moon and Earth. For some reason the Moon has a totally different race of people and have severed ties with Earth. The Moon and Earth want peace all of a sudden so the Moon sends their princess to live on Earth. Of course, the princess of the Moon ends up living in some guy’s house because his older sister is a bigshot diplomat. Yadda yadda yadda, the guy and the Moon’s princess fall in love, trouble abounds, and something probably happens at the end but I don’t really care.

There’s nothing particularly wrong about this show because I’ve enjoyed other anime that have similarly outrageous propositions for the emergence of love between two people, but Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na just doesn’t have “it.” The show is so predictable that it just bores me. It literally went from introduction, showing off at school, part-time job, a beach episode with loli and everything included, “Oh my god I love you, be my girlfriend” and then “Oh my god something from the future is trying to tear us apart, oh noes!” The dark side of the story is so forced that it just doesn’t pull me in. The few original aspects of the show are just comedy acts or cutesy intentions of harboring the moe factor of the female characters, because of course, it’s generic high school anime at its core. The plot is not engaging enough for me to consider it will have an enjoyable conclusion, so as a result I’m going to drop it.
